Lose Weight Fast - Does anyone have tips to lose weight faster with walking?

I am trying to get more active. I want to lose weight with walking or jogging, but when I jog it hurts my knees. Any tips?
Weights. Doing multiple reps with light weights will burn more fat calories than walking or jogging. Especially since your knee hurts. Walking is better exercise than running if you are a woman. Walking for 30 minutes everyday will show you some results but walking combined with weight training will have you slim in no time at all.

  2. don't jog by now, start just walking and then when you feel like you're ready (probably 2 weeks later) you start jogging

  4. If it is hurting your knees them don't job…atleast untill you can do proper form because thats what it sounds like you are doing.

    Here's a fact though.

    Walking a mile will burn just as many calories as jogging or running a mile.

  6. Carry hand weights with you, if you are using a treadmill if you can raise its incline to its max.

  7. Saw the incline treadmill suggestion. This was terrible on my knees. I have to walk on a flat surface. Just carry light weigh hand weights with you and swing your arms when you walk.

  8. Walking so far is the best exercise. If your knees are aching thats normal for a few days. It will not hurt anymore after a week of walking everyday. If you want faster losing weight, you can control your diet by reducing your carbohydrates and sweets intake. Drink much citrus juices or water 30 minutes before eating every meal to be sure your food intake would be less.

  9. I would stick with walking, but push yourself to go faster/further. Choose a regular route and wear a stop watch. Try and beat your slowest time. You ahould also add strength trianing to your regimen to build lean muscle mass.

    PS You might also want to try interval training by doing a walk/run routine. Walk 5 minutes and run 3 minutes. Remember to warm up and cool down.

  11. Swimming. It is by far the best excercise that there is. It is a full body workout, it tones along with aerobic, and there is for joint pressure. I also have problems with my knees and I find that swimming not only gives me the excercise, but it also helps the pain in my joints by increasing mobility.
