Tips to lose weight fast?
ok its christmas day, my aunt arrived and the first thing she said to me was, OH MY GOD LOOK AT THE SIZE OF YOUR STOMACH, i’m 18, weigh 128 pounds, and have a big bulge for a stomach, any tips for fast weight loss, please help
If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn). Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. This calculator will help you out http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week. Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you’ll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. You can find some more information at the Beginner’s Guide to Dieting - http://straightdiet.com
Realize that by "fast" it is 1 to 2 lbs of fat per week. YOU CANNOT LOSE FAT FASTER THAN THIS! If you lose more weight than that it wasn't fat, it was a combination of fat, stool, water, and muscle. That is not healthy.
To lose fat:
1.DON'T BELIEVE THOSE FAD DIETS!
2.Eat healthy and eat about 500 calories a day less than you normally do (DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!)
3. Drink at least 64oz (8 8oz glasses) of water a day.
4.Do light/moderate cardio 3 to 5 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each time.
5.Do some strength training to make sure you lose fat and not muscle. Don't worry, you won't look like the hulk if you lift weights.
6.You should lose about 1-2lbs per week. If you lose more than that, chances are the rest is stool, water weight, or even muscle mass.
7.Weigh yourself only once a week at the same time (ie every Friday morning). Your weight fluctuates a lot during any 24hour period because of water and food intake and also bowel movements.
8. Be patient and be smart.

wow. sorry, but your auntie is MEAN. 128 is NOT that much. how tall are you?
focus more on being happy with your body. being healthy is important though, so hit the gym (but do NOT obsess over your weight, or it will ruin your life). swimming is a great way to tone up your stomach. you shoulld know though that there is no way to target fat; that is, you should just do cardio and eventually you will slim down all over. doing a lot of ab work will actually build your muscles, which may make your stomach look larger. so don't worry too much about doing a billion crunches because that won't help you as much as playing a competitive game of bball.
in the meanwhile if you are not confident about your stomach, skip tight tops and instead go for babydoll tops. be confident no matter what size you are, because trust me, that is what people notice most.
(:
good luckk, hon, and merry xmas.

They key to weight loss is NOT to count calories! Although most people think a certain number of calories is bad, that simply isn’t true. Calories are units of measurement—for energy! And the more energy you have, the faster your metabolism is! More important than watching calories is watching what’s in them. For instance, 1000 calories of protein will give you lots of energy, and will all be burned as you digest it. However 100 calories of fat will just stay on you like a little dorito-sized lump of lard. Plus, eating fewer calories will slow down your metabolism, so when you do eat something bad for you, your body won’t be used to digesting it. Instead of digesting it, it will just be absorbed as fat.
So, believe it or not, eating 2,500 calories a day worth of protein is healthier and more conducive to weight loss than eating 1000 calories a day worth of fat, carbs, sugars, and other bad stuff. Lus, the fewer calories you have, the less energy you have to work out!
